Verbos con partícula: "hand that off"
"Hand off" (pasarle algo a otro) se puede separar: "hand that off". Con un pronombre ("it", "that") va siempre en el medio: "hand it off", nunca "hand off it". Pasa lo mismo con "take it over".
Hand that off. / Take it over. / Pass it on.
"I could use...": pedir con suavidad
"I could use another set of hands" = me vendría bien una mano más. "Could use" expresa una necesidad sin sonar a orden, ideal para pedir ayuda en un rush.
I could use a hand. / I could use some help with the martinis.
"I need you to..."
"Need / want + persona + to + verbo": "I need you to hand that off". La persona va en forma objeto ("you") y no se dice "I need that you hand".
I need you to start the martinis. / I want you to check table 2.
"In two": se omite "minutes"
En el habla se puede decir "in two" por "in two minutes" cuando el contexto lo deja claro: "I'll take it over in two".
Back in two. / Ready in five.
