MGR
So — tell me a bit about yourself and your hospitality background.
TU
I've worked in hospitality for [X] years back home — floor and bar, including supervision during busy service. I'm confident under pressure and I pick things up quickly.
Me manejo bien bajo presión y aprendo rápido.
MGR
And why do you want to work here specifically?
TU
I've heard the team here is really strong — and I like the style of the place. I'm looking for somewhere I can grow, not just clock in and clock out.
"Clock in and clock out" = fichar y nada más. Mostrar que querés crecer marca una diferencia.
MGR
Good. Any questions for us?
Bien. ¿Tenés alguna pregunta para nosotros?
TU
A few, actually. What does the training look like for new staff? And is there room to grow into more responsibility over time?
MGR
Yes — we have a solid onboarding process and we promote from within when we can.
TU
That's great to hear. One more — what's the minimum number of shifts per week, and are there weekend shifts available?

"Give it a go"
"Give it a go" en el contexto de la carrera = animate, intentá. Si te ofrecen algo nuevo o un paso hacia arriba: "We'd like you to try a duty manager shift — what do you think?" "I'd love to give it a go."

  • "Is there room to grow?" — más diplomático que "can I get promoted?".
  • "Promote from within" = los empleados actuales tienen prioridad para nuevos roles.
